What is this report?
This report provides insight into which drugs have had the biggest changes this year for Wholesale Acquisition Cost (WAC) and Average Sale Price (ASP).
- WAC is an estimate of the manufacturer’s list price for a drug to wholesalers or direct purchasers, but does not include discounts or rebates
- ASP is derived from the sales from manufacturers to all purchasers and includes practically all discounts, but is limited in that it is only available for Medicare Part B covered drugs
Additionally, we are providing an estimated impact for which recent changes to Medicare’s Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APCs) may have the greatest impact for your hospital or health system by comparing these changes with your reported historical Medicare claim and charge data.
