Craneware Selected by Intermountain Healthcare

22 December 2009 – Craneware plc (AIM: CRW.L), the market leader in automated revenue integrity solutions for the US healthcare market, is pleased to announce the signing of a five year contract with Intermountain Healthcare, a non-profit, integrated healthcare delivery system based in Salt Lake City consisting of 23 hospitals, physicians, clinics & services, and health insurance plans from SelectHealth.

Intermountain Healthcare chose Craneware’s Chargemaster Toolkit®, Online Reference Toolkit® and Physician Revenue Toolkit®. Intermountain will also benefit from the industry-wide expertise of Craneware’s Business Solutions Group in CDM Maintenance Process Assessment, Design and Implementation for optimal business process efficiency.

Chargemaster Toolkit® is designed to capture legitimate reimbursement, increase efficiency and promote compliance through fully automating chargemaster management processes with Online Reference Toolkit enabling easy access to the latest compliance regulations and code sets. Physician Revenue Toolkit® functions similarly to fit the needs of physician practices. These solutions provide hospitals with increased visibility into their financial performance — automating code change updates to support compliance, identifying opportunities to optimise reimbursement, and assisting Intermountain in applying best practices for superior operational efficiency.

Craneware’s proven solution for automating chargemaster management processes will help us achieve our objectives — empowering us to manage by exception and improve processes related to the revenue cycle. The integrated workflow of Craneware’s solutions will connect our health system’s varied revenue management processes, from corporate standard to regional operations, to individual hospitals and physician groups.
